Winsley Cricket Club - Youth Cricket

Looking ahead to 2022

Kwik Cricket

Who knows what 2022 will bring, but here is our optimistic outlook!

This year we hope to re-establish our Friday evening cricket training for boys and girls,

If all goes well, from early May to early July, we will have our introduction to cricket sessions, the award winning ECB All Stars programme, for girls and boys in reception, year 1 and year 2 . This will run alongside a new ECB softball programme - Dynamos - for older primary age children  in years 3 to 6 (previously this was our Wombats section).

Softball sessions will run from 4:45pm to 5:45pm.   Registration and payments for All Stars and Dynamos is handled through a centralised ECB System, which is planned to come on line at the end of February.

From mid-April to mid-July, we will have our  hard ball training sessions for our separate girls (Years 5 up to Year 10)  and boys (Year 5 to Year 8). sections Older boys (year 9 onwards) and girls (Year 10 onwards) transition into youth training sessions on Thursday evenings, to help manage their transition into our open age teams. Following on from 2021, we will continue to run a dedicated girls team.

Hardball sessions run from 6:15 to 7:45pm     Registration for Winsley Junior hardball sessions is explained here
