Denis Gilmer died tuesday 29th 2003 aged 82

Players and members of Winsley Cricket Club were shocked and saddened by the news of the death of Denis Gilmer on Tuesday. Denis had been president of Winsley Cricket Club for more than a decade and had given so much, not only to adult cricket but also the development of the youth cricket.

People came to know him best as the friendly and keen supporter of the team, who would always be over to see how the 'chaps' were getting on.

He will be sorely missed.
