Winsley sign international test captain

Terrence Duffin as overseas player for 2006.

the West Indies which saw a depleted Zimbabwe side lose 5-0. Dufin was encouraged by the the performances of several of the Zimbabwean players such as Chibabha.

Duffin will now play for Winsley for the remainder of the domestic season strengthening Winsley's depleated batting order.

Duffin's other responsibilities will include coaching Winsley's swelling youth ranks trying to find Winsley's next generation of players. "I am looking forward to helping Winsley achieve their goals for this year and also contributing towards their medium term strategic objective" commented Duffin.

Captain Ellet is well aware of the significance of such a high profile signing: "As well as his obvious cricketing abilities Terrence will help us to get more publicity and get the name of Winsley Criket Club more on the map." He went on to say "We also hope it will also motivate the other members of the club for the comming season and may also persuade the local people to come up and watch a test cricketer at weekends."

The weather remains the biggest doubt over whether Terrence will be able to make his debut against Nailsea on saturday.
