Duffins debut delayed by rain

as wetest May for 25 years causes game to be abandoned.

Winsley had to be resigned to call the second match in as many weeks off due to the unusually wet start to the season.

Winsley were looking forward to the debut of their international test captain Terrence Duffin making

his long awaited debut for the club but due to the weather this will have to be delayed until next week against Hambrook away.

He has spent the first week or so with new club Winsley helping with the youth development work with head of youth development Andrew Cross.

"Terrence has already made an invaluable contribution to the coaching setup, the kids respond well to him and he has already started to work on a few techniques.

"Cross went on to comment: "The kids have been watching him on TV for several weeks now so there was alot of anticipation before he arrived and this seems to have focused their concentration and motivation."
